Essentials of Teaching and Learning Online Boot Camp
Essentials of Teaching and Learning Online Boot Camp provides the EDU 2631 (Teaching and Learning Online) requirement for teaching online and hybrid courses at Pikes Peak State College.
Registration for Summer 2023 will open Monday, April 17 at 8:00 am. Registration will close on Thursday, May 11 at 5:00 pm.
Essentials of Teaching and Learning Online Boot Camp is a fully online two-week course. We will explore effective online design principles and teaching strategies as well as classroom management. We will examine how to craft effective discussions, rubrics and assessment, and the importance of FERPA and ADA. You will leave Teaching and Learning Online Boot Camp with techniques and tools while experiencing what it is like to be an online student at PPSC.
If you are an adjunct instructor enrolled in the Promoting Advancement and Growth for Educators (PAGE) Program through CETL (Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning), you will receive 5 PD units after successfully completing Essentials of Teaching and Learning Online Boot Camp with an 80% or better by submitting the reflection and tracking form. To verify your registration or for intent form information for the PAGE Program, please contact CETL at CETL@pikespeak.edu. Registration for PAGE occurs twice a year beginning the Monday of PDW (August and January) and ends on the student drop date.
