D2L made their monthly update overnight. Most of the changes are minor, but a couple are grabbing some people’s attention this morning.
First, the Assignment list now uses only the new interface implemented about a year ago. It includes columns for New, Completed (turned in by students), Evaluated, and Feedback Published. The item no longer displayed is the number of actual files. While this won’t affect most instructors, it is a substantial challenge for folks working in the division offices collecting syllabi.
Also, Quizzes and Grades now sync. This means if you forget to send Quiz scores to Grades and turn on the setting later, it will automatically sync. A feature I’ve been looking forward to for a number of years.
There are a number of other quality of life interface changes this month you may want to look at including Discussions feedback publishing and dismissing items in Quick Eval. For a full rundown of this month’s changes, please refer to the video and release notes below.
