D2L is a web-based tool that really isn’t designed to print. However, we recognize that students often want to print materials from D2L. The biggest problem we run into though is, the formatting is all over the place and parts of the page are cut off.
The method eLearning recommends to users who want to print is to first download the file. Then, open the file on your local computer and print from there. Since most instructors build their materials in Word, opening the file in Word and then printing will ensure it matches what the instructors wrote.
The exception to this would be any HTML files. Those should print well from D2L, as that’s the language it’s programmed in.
